I'm in the top 10% of the world's wealthiest people.
Would you like to know how rich you are in comparison to the rest of the world? Sure you would!
If you're dying to know where you rank, type your annual income into this wealth calculator. (Depending which country you hail from you may need to do some currency conversion first).
This is a great little calculator that I found via Seth Godin's blog. It makes you think how the rest of the world is getting on.

Hi Stuart ... I'm sure you are quite aware that "income" does not necessarily equal wealth.
It depends on the source of that income and on what you do with it !!!
I know solicitors who earn $500Kpa and more - but they are not what I would call wealthy. Their income goes towards maintaining their lavish lifestyle and expensive leased cars and trophy homes (which are regularly renovated to update with the latest style).
They LOOK wealthy, but they aren't.
Now, if the figure you type into the income box is solely from your investment returns - then I'd call that a good start!

It's a little misleading, it calculates on the basis of income, not assets, but it's still enlightening...

I agree with both Sim' and Harm. Income does not equal wealth.
However, this calculator is actually trying to show us how well off we are. In fact, I heard it once quoted that if you were on government handouts in a western country then you are still in the top 8% of the richest people in the world.
The calculator is actually showing society's wealth not individuals. The fact that I can drink clean water which is instantly accessible within my own 4x2 modern house and drive down the street to purchase a few things for dinner puts my lifestyle out of reach for most people that live in this world.
You're right Harm. It is a little misleading and my linkbait title didn't actually sell it for what it was.
But it is interesting to see how many people were actually interested in how wealthy I was.
